Summer Holidays
Currently
I'm planning my summer holidays with few friends of my mountain club. In the
last week of January is the 50's birthday of the first full climb of the
Principal Horn of Paine, and we’ll be in the Torres del Paine National Park to
celebrate this, with 3 different sport activities. I’ll participate in expedition
inside the park, where we’ll climb Almirante Nieto hill and Amistad hill. This
activity will take 10 days.
After
that, with my friends are planning to travel to Ushuaia, Argentina. I’ve heard
that city is awesome; it’s the most austral self-sustaining city, and is
located in front of Navarino Port, crossing Beagle Channel. That’s and other
destiny, but depends on the money we will decide to cross to Navarino Island,
because in the web pages looks very expensive.
After
Ushuaia starts the return to Santiago, but through the south of Chile. In
Puerto Natales departs a ferry with destiny Puerto Yungay, there we’re planning
go to the north visiting some National Parks and Reserves, like Cerro Castillo,
Laguna San Rafael, Corcovado, among others, and cross their routes, and why not
climb if we look some climb routes. I want to visit the Capillas de Mármol
caves. Before to finish our travel in the Austral route, we will go to Cochamó
to climb there, we plan to go with our climb equipment. I think we will be
there like 3-4 days, to enjoy the place.
After,
I think is a great idea visit Chiloe, but depends on how much time is left
before to start classes.
