Summer Holidays

Currently I'm planning my summer holidays with few friends of my mountain club. In the last week of January is the 50's birthday of the first full climb of the Principal Horn of Paine, and we’ll be in the Torres del Paine National Park to celebrate this, with 3 different sport activities. I’ll participate in expedition inside the park, where we’ll climb Almirante Nieto hill and Amistad hill. This activity will take 10 days. After that, with my friends are planning to travel to Ushuaia, Argentina. I’ve heard that city is awesome; it’s the most austral self-sustaining city, and is located in front of Navarino Port, crossing Beagle Channel. That’s and other destiny, but depends on the money we will decide to cross to Navarino Island, because in the web pages looks very expensive. After Ushuaia starts the return to Santiago, but through the south of Chile. In Puerto Natales departs a ferry with destiny Puerto Yungay, there we’re planning go to the north visiting some National

Pets

Currently, I haven't a pet. Since I live out of my mother's house, I live without a pet, because I live on apartment with my grandmother. She don’t likes the idea to have any pets and I think have a pet on apartment is animal abuse. I think the animal needs space to live and play, something that an apartment hasn’t. I think that have a pet is a big responsibility, because them depends on you, and that makes you cannot do some things freely, like travel to other cities. I see my mother with her doggy, and she cannot come to Santiago to visit me and her family because she can’t leave alone her dog and can’t leave with her friends because the dog gets sad. That’s one of my arguments to don’t get a pet. I would like get a pet? Yes, but is not the time. I will get one when I will live in a house, with a big garden because I like the big dogs, like husky. I like this dog because you can play with them and they are very friendly and faithful , and I know that this dog will love g

My Future Job

Today I will talk about what I would like to work in in the future. Actually, I don’t think a lot about that, I just know that I like my career, I’m studying biochemistry. I think, maybe in a clinical laboratory, or in a research laboratory. When I finish my career, if that happens (please yes), I would think what job can pay my lifestyle and which is closer to that. If I prefer to choose the safer choice I will choose the clinical laboratory, there I will be sure (I think) that I can get the money to pay my sport travels; or if I choose the research laboratory I would love to choose one where is an outdoor line research, where I would need to go out of the city to get samples to study, where I would need to travel, hike, climb, dive, etc., If I would get one job like that, don’t matter where, if it’s in the artic or in a desert, I will go there. If I can get a job like that, I will do a Ph.D. If I just can get a job in a Hospital (Clinical lab) I will do a master. That’s what I

Favourite Musician

Currently mi style of music is closest to Chilean blues and rock, I think I should be influenced by my brother when I was a child; listening bands like Chancho en Piedra, La Rata Bluesera and Los Tres, among others. Los Tres, It’s born in Concepcion, Chile and is one of the most influent bands in Hispanic America since 90’. His work is based on the folk and popular music of Chile with added rock and jazz influences. Currently is composed by 4 members: Alvararo Henriquez, Roberto Lindl, Boris Ramirez and Sebastian Cabib. I don’t have memory when was the first time I listened them, I think I was very young, for example all my life I’ve known the song ‘‘He barrido el sol’’, a classic of Los Tres and I don’t met person who don’t known this song and, indirectly, Los Tres. This band is part of the popular culture of Chile. Since one year I started to listen the most part of the work of this band, and I love it. I think the one of the best albums of they it’s the MTV Unplugged where

A School Anecdote

When I was at the school, I loved sing, so I was a member in the chorus of San Rafael High School. This year we was singing ''Creere'' of Tercer Cielo and ''Daft Punk'' of Pentatonix. Our teacher has the idea to participate in the inter school of chorus of the University of Andes Bello in Concepcion. That was a moment than we was waiting a lot of time, we was from Los Angeles and we has never participate in a competition before that, so you think we was very anxious. Started the competition we have to wait our turn outside of the aula Magna. Come our turn, trying to look the better than possible, we went inside and started to sing. Ended the competition all chorus went inside and shows his presentation, we thought we're lost, but we're wrong, we won the first place, that was incredible. Few days later watching the video of our presentation, we saw the worst appearance of our teacher, the person who most took care our image was the worst dresse

A Country I would like to visit

Imagen
Not long ago I was thinking that I would like to visit the United States of America, visit Yosemite National Park in California, the Paradise of rock climbing, and climb ''El Capitan'', a vertical granite wall of 900 meters; Los Angeles, I don't really like the beaches, but sounds attractive in Los Angeles; and Hollywood and walk around the Hollywood  Walk of Fame. Another site I would like to visit es the Great Canyon and Yellowstone National Park, the house of Yogi bear. Really there is a lot of places I would like to visit. I don't know if I would live in the USA, but I don't deny that is a good idea, it's the country of opportunities, and with Biochemistry I must take the best. If any time I think to live there, would be in Los Angeles, maybe for the weather, it's hot the most time of the year; and something I think it's important, the language, a big part of the people of Los Angeles speak Spanish, and I don't see myself speaking E

I think my best holidays was in the last summer. It born by the ideas from 3 friends, Stephano, Gabriela and Diana, who I met in my mountain club. They was planning this trip since 6 months before it and consists in a travel arround bolivia in 1 month, visiting the Uyuni Salar, the Sun Island, and few cities like Oruro, Cochabamba, La Paz and Copacabana, finishing in Cozco, Peru, visiting the city of Machu Picchu. Was January and we start our trip to our first stop, Calama, where we expected to buy the bus tickets to Uyuni, but there was sold out, so we decided to change our plans and we bought the bus tickets to Cochabamba. We arrived Cocha in the afternoon, so we knew the city just in the night, because we take a minibus to Torotoro, where is in a National Park whith the same name. Torotoro is a town among the mountains, and stands out for the  archaeological wealth, there is dinosaurs footprints and prehispanic records from the aymara culture. After Torotoro we turned back to Co
